May is usually very pleasant, but because of elevation and the elevations you may climb, it is always best to be prepared for inclement weather. Siskiyou County is noted for the Mt. Shasta Ski and Recreation Area, Marble Mountain Wilderness, trails and camping, river rafting, historical districts, antiques, bicycle touring, and Yreka now has the Rain Rock Casino.
